Hooray! Bones fans can rejoice because Fox has renewed Bones for a 9th season!! The network made the announcement on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour!

According to TVLine, entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said in a statement, “After more than 150 episodes, Bones continues to be one of television’s most dynamic and consistent dramas. We at Fox, along with millions of zealous fans, look forward to seeing where the incredible creative team takes the series next season.”

In the last episode, Booth's son, Parker, got to meet his baby sister, Christine, for the first time. Does anyone know if any more of Brennan and/or Booth's relatives are going to show up in future episodes to meet the newest addition? Three off the top of my head are Max (Brennan's father), Russ (Brennan's father), and Jared (Booth's brother). Max is now a grandfather, and Russ and Jacob are uncles. It took me a while to like Bones. At first I was put off by Brennan and her seemingly humorless, socially clumsy demeanor. I have a friend who has DVDs of what seems like just about every TV show ever made and he offered to lend them to me, telling me "it's a great show, it grows on you."

We have an official crossover between Bones and its spin-off The Finder! Dr. Sweets will be one of the first from the Bones cast to make an appearance in The Finder.

Probably without Walter's permission, the FBI will send Sweets to examine his psychiatric condition: “Who is more qualified to examine [Geoff Stults'] brain damaged paranoid finder than Sweets?” exec producer Stephen Nathan jokes to TVLine. “I think the FBI made a very good choice sending him.”

After getting over the initial shock of the season finale, which took about 3 weeks, the fear of the next season began to settle in. I know a baby means "They're togather!", but it also means "Oh-no! They're togather." With them togather, the magic of "Almost,Almost,Almost" is gone and we're here. Then the real fear sets in.

Booth is back!! Well at least he is not seeing ghosts any more or cartoon children. I was left disappointed at the ending of the last season as we were promised a union between Booth and Bones that would be more than platonic. While this was certainly the case - it was all in either Bones' book or in Booth's imagination or both. However, perhaps we are actually going to see something happen between them in this series - the romance has been set up to suggest so as long as Booth decides he is back to his old self and can rely on his true feelings.

Re-watching the end of Season 3 I got struck by something which seemed out of place.

And I don't think there was ever a definitive answer, there are points on either side

They Knew

• None of them seemed overly surprised/emotional when it turned out Booth didn't die
• None of them were asking why they didn't get told

They didn't know

• Angela dragged Bones to the funeral. Why would she have done that if she knew it was fake?
• Surely one of them would have commented on it over the two weeks, alerting Bones to the fact.

Three seasons on and Sweets still pisses me off for that little lapse in judgement.
