Linda Murphy appears in The Patriot in Purgatory. She was the widow of Tim Murphy, a war veteran who left home to live on the streets because he had trouble dealing with his survivors' guilt after three of his friends died saving his life. After her husband's remains were identified in the Jeffersonian, Booth delivered the news to Linda in person, and was able to assure her that her husband had always remembered her despite his decision to leave, as he kept a photograph of her among his possessions. She subsequently attended her husband's official funeral with the Jeffersonian staff, as well as the three people from the Pentagon whose lives had been saved by Tim as his last act.
