Warren Kirk appears in The Patriot in Purgatory. He was one of three members of Pentagon personnel, along with Diane Rollins and James Donzig, whose lives were saved by the prompt and ultimately self-sacrificing actions of Tim Murphy on 9/11. Murphy raced into the damaged building and pulled beams weighing up to 400lbs each off the three, releasing them and making their escape possible. Learning that Murphy had been identified and died of injuries sustained while saving their lives, Kirk and his colleagues attended Murphy's funeral.
